Our mission is to develop a dependable framework for classification, marine surveys and technical assessment. We seek to connect careful preparation, competent field work and disciplined review so that each assignment has an identifiable scope, an accountable owner and an accessible record.
Before the assignment
A complete starting record reduces uncertainty. The intended preparation process establishes the vessel or product identity, the service requested, the documents required and the competence needed. Matters outside the agreed scope should be identified before technical work begins.
During assessment and review
Observations must be distinguished from conclusions. The planned workflow records findings, supporting evidence and any corrective actions, then places the work before the appropriate technical reviewer. Personnel should be able to raise an unresolved issue without pressure to reach a predetermined outcome.
After the work is completed
The final record should communicate the outcome and its limitations. Follow-up obligations, outstanding matters and document revisions should remain traceable. Lessons from technical review and quality findings should feed back into procedures and training.
- Competence matched to the assignment
- Evidence supporting the conclusion
- Quality review that leads to improvement
