The data controller for the website activities described here is Cihan Kalkan, Türkiye. Aegean Lloyd is the brand used on this website. Enquiries and privacy requests can be directed to info@aegeanlloyd.org.

The application does not accept online applications, CV uploads or account registrations. If you send an email, your name, email address, business contact details and the information you include in your enquiry are received through the mail service. Infrastructure providers may process technical request information, such as network addresses, browser information and access times, for delivery and security of their services.

Correspondence is used to understand and answer your enquiry. Responding to business enquiries and protecting service security are assessed within the legitimate-interest ground in Article 5(2)(f) of Law No. 6698, limited to what is necessary and provided fundamental rights are not harmed. Records needed to establish, exercise or protect a right fall within Article 5(2)(e); processing required by a legal obligation falls within Article 5(2)(ç), where applicable. These purposes do not include recruitment assessment or marketing profiles.

When you select a language, the al_language cookie retains that preference for up to one year. You can remove it through your browser settings. The browser may also cache public logos and promotional photographs to improve repeat visits; that visual cache does not contain CVs, certificates or operational records. No marketing or analytics tool has been added to the Aegean Lloyd application. Infrastructure providers may use their own technical mechanisms as described in their privacy documents.

Website hosting uses ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure; the published mailbox uses Hostinger Mail. Information necessary to provide these services may be processed by those providers, and disclosures may be required to competent authorities where the law requires. Technical infrastructure may be outside Türkiye. Questions about processing locations and applicable cross-border arrangements can be directed to the contact address; the providers’ privacy documents are linked below. This notice does not claim that a particular transfer agreement or authorization has been executed.

Enquiry correspondence is retained according to its purpose, the period needed to handle the matter, applicable legal obligations and the establishment or protection of rights. No automatic deletion interval is represented here; ask the contact address about the records relevant to your enquiry. The public application does not create CV or recruitment records. Please do not send identity documents, health records, crew lists or other sensitive material as part of a general enquiry.

Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698, you may request information about processing, its purposes and recipients, seek correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, and request deletion or destruction where the legal conditions apply. The law also provides rights concerning notification to recipients, adverse results based exclusively on automated analysis and compensation for unlawful processing. Verification and the response follow the applicable statutory procedures; additional identity information is requested only where necessary.
