Plan review creates a documented connection between a proposed design and the technical basis against which it is assessed. Aegean Lloyd’s planned review process is organized around identifiable submissions, competent reviewers and a clear record of comments, revisions and decisions.
Submission and scope
Each submission should identify the vessel or project, drawing or manual number, revision, designer and requested review scope. Supporting calculations and related drawings should be supplied as a coherent package. Missing information should be identified before a conclusion is issued.
- Hull arrangements and structural documentation
- Machinery, piping and electrical documentation
- Stability information and scope-specific manuals
Review comments and revisions
Review comments should refer to the document and the technical issue concerned. Responses and revised submissions must remain associated with the original review record. Replacing a drawing should not erase the previous revision or the basis of a decision. Open comments should be distinguishable from accepted responses.
The meaning of a review outcome
The release record should state the assessed revision, scope, conditions and any limitations. Review of a drawing does not verify that the installed arrangement matches it; construction or onboard verification is a separate activity. Any approval on behalf of a flag Administration requires the relevant authorization in addition to technical competence.
SERVICE AVAILABILITY
This page describes the service framework being developed. Acceptance of any assignment depends on a confirmed technical scope, suitable personnel and the required approvals or authorizations. It does not claim flag recognition, IACS membership or accredited verifier status.
